Mcdonalds, FutureShop, Ardenes & Resume

April 14,2011

It's been a week since I put out those resumes and went on the internet to apply 'online'. Who would have known that when I enter into every store they would redirect me to applying online saying it is easier. Well it's not.

Old Navy: 50 assessment questions on top of the upload resumes, fill in your name, address, number etc.

Mcdonalds (Yes, I am very desperate for a job now): 35 assessment questions.( I will post them up later and tell you which ones I picked out)

Ardenes: There 8 Sales Associates job, 8 Third Key holder, 8 something else I forgot. But I applied to 24 Ardenes Job and got 1 interview. I dressed professionaly and all that but I still didnt get the job because she was suppose to call me um, this Monday if ' All goes well, because I still have more interview schedules for today'.

Aritzia: " Come on in, we'll interview you on the spot" Well they nevered did, the manager looked younger than me. Her friend came in to chat with her and all she did was take my resume. Is it cause I wasn't dressed professionally? Maybe, but she still didn't interview me on the spot so their website says ' Come in! We want to meet you' is totally bogus.

AMC: Handed in resume, the usher and some manager guy was very nice and I thanked them but there seem to be a train of people handing in resumes. I will continue in the next Job-->

Disney Store: I was about to hand in my resume when this girl infront of me asking ' Are you hiring?' The man said you gotta do it online ( typical) and she said thanks, so i was relunctant to ask again so I just darted out of the store. There I saw this other guy standing with a resume too, I guess he made the conenction when me and the other girl came out with our resumes still in our hands that they weren't hiring in person.

Bestbuy: No knowledge of the home theatre system nor computer. I just wanted to work at customer service or casheir or the PC Gaming section (Yes I'm good with systems and is up to date with games).

Futureshop: I swear Bestbuy owns it or the other way around but their news paper, advertising and even their hiring applications are the same. There is only 1 customer service hiring and yes, it was pretty long. "Please tell us a time when you showed exceptional customer service" Not that long but there are long answer questions.

Sirens: As soon as I went in there they hand evil eyes all over me. So I guess my resume is flipped upside down and used as scrap paper there.
